Flaxseed - the best cosmetic for your skin and hair

Flaxseed has been valued for many years due to its health benefits. It is often considered to be part of the so-called superfoods group, which have a high nutritional value per 100 grammes. However, flaxseed can also be used for cosmetic purposes. Here are some proven ways in which flaxseed will help you take care of your beauty.

What properties does flaxseed have?

Flaxseed is a real wealth of B vitamins. It also contains vitamin E and minerals, including magnesium, iron, zinc, and calcium. It is thanks to the high content of these ingredients that flaxseed has a beneficial effect on the condition of nails and the hair.

We recommend buying flaxseed in whole form - it is cheaper than ground flaxseed and stays fresh longer. A variety of flaxseed which is particularly recommended both for people who want to take care of their health and beauty is golden flaxseed. Its name is derived from its beautiful, golden colour.

How to use flaxseed for hair care

Flaxseed can be used to prepare a mask for hair treatments - add 2 flat tablespoons of flaxseed to 250 ml of water and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes while constantly stirring. Next, strain the mixture. The remaining water will be a little “sticky”. It should then be applied to the hair and left for approx. 30-40 minutes. Such a mask should be applied at least once a week.

Flaxseed can also be used to prepare hair mist. Just mix the prepared flaxseed extract with water in a ratio of 1 to 1. Finally, pour this cosmetic into a bottle with an atomizer.

Flaxseed on the nails

As we mentioned earlier, flaxseed nourishes the nails. You can prepare a flax “jelly” for this treatment. Just cover the flaxseed with water and let it soak for at least an hour (300 ml water, approx. 3 tablespoons of flax). Dip your nails in the prepared mixture for about 10 minutes several times a week.
